lourd d'infanterie, le 150 mm sIG 33 L/11,4. Le Sturmpanzer I était
manipulé par un équipage de 5 hommes. Seulement trois projectiles
de 150 mm
pouvaient être transportés et l'appui d'un half-track porte-munitions
était nécessaire. L'obusier était protégé
par une large superstructure en forme de
boîte ouverte sur l'arrière et le dessus. Un total de 38 exemplaires,
seulement furent convertis en janvier-février 1940 par Alkett à
Berlin. Ces engins
fourniront un appui feu mobile à l'infanterie lors des campagnes de
France, des Balkans et de Russie. Ils serviront jusque fin 1943 au sein de
la Kompanie
704 de la 5e Pz-Division.
The chassis of Pz.Kpfw I Ausf.B was used also basic for an assault gun intended
for the infantry, Sturmpanzer I Bison. This machine was armed with the
heavy howitzer of infantry, the 150 mm sIG 33 L/11.4. Sturmpanzer I was operated
by a crew of 5 men. Only three projectiles of 150 mm could be
transported and the support of an ammunition half-tracked carrier was necessary.
The howitzer was protected by a broad superstructure in form from
box open on the back and the top. A total of 38 specimens, only were converted
into January-February 1940 by Alkett in Berlin. These machines will
provide a mobile support fire to the infantry at the time of the campaigns
of France, Balkans and Russia. They will be useful till the end of 1943 within
Kompanie 704 of the 5th Pz-Division.
